Project Description

To provide the operations team with day-to- day support in order to meet HSE, efficiency, and quality objectives. Specific scope items include:
  • ensure processes are in compliance with our company  and UK HSE requirements
  • provide technical support on the processes to ensure production targets are met
  • lead process and quality improvement activities to drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • provide support to assure the systems and documentation are standardized, organized, and are maintained current and up-to- date

  • provide assistance and troubleshooting support to the plants to meet productivity and quality goals
  • establish, track and maintain process metrics and data such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cycle time, and yield to identify and understand losses and develop and implement improvement plans
  • carry out root cause analysis of quality non-conformance and implement corrective actions
  • manage the Modification Certification process within the Operations Department
  • assure key documentation (operating instructions, safety addendum, quality addendum, batch sheets, etc.) is accurate and up-to- date
  • assure P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) are current and accurately reflect the installation
  • identify and provide justification for improvement projects for inclusion in the site capital plan
  • champion new tools and techniques to improve HSE, quality, and efficiency within the site
  • participate in and support the process design team with introduction of new products and processes
  • mentor placement students on assignment within the MDG or Operations departments
  • provide support for implementation of company, site, and department initiatives

  • Chemical Engineering Degree
  • Strong initiative and drive to succeed
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently on own initiative
  • Competent in the use and application of IT tools to execute and improve work
