Project Description

Utilities Technician
 Operates and monitors facilities support systems (boilers, chillers, air compressors, purified water systems, air handling units, cooling towers, condensing units, and other HVAC subsystems, and incoming utilities
  • Performs preventive and remedial maintenance on facilities support systems 
  • Follows work instructions, SOP’s, company policies, and safety requirements 
  • Documents maintenance activities within cGMP requirements  
  • Assists in monitoring work activities of outside contractors  
  • Participates in required training activities, including serving as a key department trainer  
  • Learns SAP maintenance management software basic functions and assists team lead/manager with SAP activities 
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal customers on status of work requests 
  • Assists other maintenance technicians with the daily maintenance workload


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; technical vocational school graduate or an associates technical degree preferred  
  • Up to 8-10 years of experience operating and maintaining facilities support systems in a general manufacturing or pharmaceutical plant  
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic, electro-mechanical equipment systems; able to resolve the most complex equipment problems without assistance; able to impart this experience to other team members  
  • Detailed knowledge of single/three phase electrical wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, electronics, and mechanical equipment  
  • Ability to follow and use drawings, electrical diagrams, and electronic schematics 
  • Capable of mathematical calculations and record keeping  
  • Able to use hand and powered tools and shop equipment  
  • Ability to work with others and without direct supervision 
  • PC skills required 
  •  Must be able to work weekends, days, evenings, nights, and/or rotating shifts
