The US Medical Affairs Strategy Lead (MASL) holds primary responsibility for Medical Affairs strategy and US medical expertise for antibiotics (Gram negative and Gram positive infections). The MASL customizes the Global Medical Affairs Plan for the US market and leads the cross functional team to develop and implement agreed tactics. MASL is responsible for leading the strategic process while ensuring team members (therapeutic/functional team) are aligned and engaged. The MASL engages top scientific leaders and executes expert input forums to remain on the leading edge of therapeutic and patient care advances. Chairs, leads, and facilitates the US Medical Affairs Team (USMAT); responsible for leading the strategic process while ensuring team members are aligned and engaged.



- Required: MD, PhD or PharmD


- Minimum five (5) years clinical and/or research experience (including publications) in infectious disease
- Proven track record of contribution to commercial, medical and/or clinical development strategies in pharmaceutical industry


- Strategic thinking, specifically related to life-cycle management strategy and execution
- Proven ability to effectively communicate information at management level, with public groups and to scientific leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, project management, facilitation/consultative skills
- Able to effectively collaborate across divisions
