With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, Amgen remains committed to advancing science to dramatically improve people s lives.Relocation in the form of a transportation allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.Working in partnership across the Corporate Affairs team, this position will support the communications planning and execution for a variety of milestones and events for Amgen. This role will interface with multiple work streams to help coordinate and deliver a consistent and compelling message to staff, media and other critical audiences.Support the development of communications strategies and plans that help our colleagues effectively and consistently communicate to their key audiences and stakeholders. Once fully vetted and approved, flawlessly execute on those plans and deliver measurable results.Develop external and internal communications materials to support these strategies. Serve as corporate affairs representative on formal and informal internal groups that have been created to develop strategies and tactics in support of Amgen products.Follow process for review and approval that ensures message buy-in from related parties and Amgen s executive leadership. Engage with advocacy partners to compliantly liaise with third-party organizations, patients and healthcare providers.Manage and direct public relations agency partners to assure maximum impact and assistance in reaching desired communications goals and objectives Anticipate and proactively prepare company spokespeople and third-party spokespersons (where appropriate) for issues or events, including media training external and internal spokespeople.Work in partnership with staff and change communication team to ensure awareness of news on the assigned Amgen products with Amgen staff Relocation in the form of a transportation allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.Basic Qualifications Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or olderCurrently enrolled in a full time Bachelor s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalentCompletion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencingEnrolled in a full time Bachelor s or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or universityMust not be employed at the time the internship startsPreferred QualificationsDegree concentration(s) in English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fieldStrong writing skillsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAmgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
