Job Description:

Responsibilities & functions:
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through function analysis, career planning, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers / head of departments
  • Improve and maintain a training system
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations of the business and individuals
  • Support line managers / head of departments with defining competencies for each role and performing a gap analysis for each function
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
  • Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
  • Schedule training sessions, organize information technology and other equipment, and manage course enrolment
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and report on them
  • Define training-relevant procedures and policies as well as standards for training documentation in SOPs
  • Prepare and manage training budget as part of the overall HR budget
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices and use this understanding to optimize cost and effectiveness of training
  • Co-operate with colleagues responsible of training in other regions and departments

Preferred Skills:

  • Two years proven work experience as a Training Coordinator/Manager
  • Experience in the conduct of clinical trials/clinical research is an advantage
  • GCP experience would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Advisory skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
  • Good MS Office (incl. Skype for Business) skills
