Elanco’s research and development focuses on products in veterinary healthcare and food animal productivity.
As a trade marketer you will be responsible for local market brand development within our key sales channels. This will mean that you will gather and leverage insights and knowledge around consumer and customer market dynamics to then develop and implement the optimal promotional plan to our key customer groups across the Companion Animal portfolio.
You will be a key interface between the brand marketing team and the sales key account/regional sales leadership team.
Review Key customer channel activities, and develop perspective on what’s working/why?...and make strategic and immediate tactical recommendations for Elanco portfolio promotion plan.
Develop/implement a ROI/ post promotional analysis protocol/toolkit to ensure promotional performance visibility and learning
Manage ( with the brand manager and Key account sales team) ideation, planning, budgeting, production and implementation of all relevant trade marketing activities
Key trade marketing activities include the development and management of a national calendar of promotional activities to strengthen the brand with Key customers
Maintain relationships and communication with business stakeholder’s suppliers and management
Effectively present brands, products and marketing initiatives to customers
Take a lead role in the planning and execution of key trade events/exhibitions
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline preferably business with sales/marketing and multidisciplinary exposure
Strong business to consumer and/additionally business to recommender marketing, sales or trade marketing experience with a minimum of 3 years in Brand Management/trade marketing or sales roles.
A minimum of 1 year’s sales experience and a strong knowledge of the animal health industry in Australia is desirable.
A “thinker and a doer” who is able to think strategically/critically as well as roll up the sleeves to deliver / implement the activity plan deliverables
Excellent problem-solving and superior analytical skills
Self-motivated and clearly a strong team player
Must have a strong initiative to creative and provide solutions
Ability to lead and influence people
Strong interpersonal, business analytic, presentation & communication skills
Ideally, you may also have:
Experience as a “trade customer”- retail being most relevant
Up to 20% of time may be spent travelling.
You’ll be part of the Elanco ANZ marketing Team.
You’ll be based in Sydney.
