Description:
The Senior Manager, Financial Accounting plays a key role in the  Finance Team which is primarily responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, provision of key management information and financial analysis and preparation of statutory financial statements.


Key focus areas for the role will be:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts on a timely basis in accordance with US GAAP
  • Preparation of accurate management information and performing financial analysis with meaningful insights as required
  • Supporting key financial reporting systems (AX 2012)
  • Support local accounting requirements as necessary.Major Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Group policies and Corporate deadlines and disposition of reconciling items arising from account reconciliations.
  • Working individually and as part of a team to prepare monthly reporting packs and other management information (e.g. quarterly supplemental pack) in accordance with Group policies and Corporate deadlines
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors, assisting with the annual statutory audit and interim reviews and preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Liaising with the IT team in supporting AX 2012 and driving efficiencies in our processes using our systems to their full potential
  • Maintaining appropriate SOX process and control documentation, ensuring the proper design and execution of internal controls and assisting in the coordination of SOX control
  • Assisting other team members and coaching junior team members as needed
  • Other ad hoc duties/projects as may ariseSkills/Qualifications:


Requirements:
  • Big 4 accounting firm training and ACA qualification required
  • 5-6 years of post-qualification relevant work experience
  • US multi-national environment experience an advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and financial reporting
  • Experience in the pharmaceuticals industry would be an advantage
  • Fluent English is required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Work as part of a team and liaison with other functions
  • Ability to organize work effectively to meet deadlines
