Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an experienced Technologist for our Rederviation Department.
  • Perform complex husbandry and specialized production duties requiring technical expertise to maintain and monitor the health, production and physical environment of CRL animals within isolators, micro-isolator caging or barrier rooms. 
  • Routinely perform specialized duties in one or more of the following areas:  packing and shipping animals to customer; providing technical training to departmental staff; performing animal surgeries; and/or creating sterile water supplies as assigned. 
  • Assist in the training of other departmental employees on technical skills and SOPs.

Qualifications
The following are minimum requirements related to the Technologist position.
  • Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
  • Experience:  Two to four years related experience and/or training.
  •   An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  Preference will be given for AALAS certification at the Technician Level or its equivalent.
  • Other:  Continued education in the area of management/leadership preferred.
