The Laboratory Support Technician will be a part of the Branchburg pharmaceutical technical services / manufacturing sciences team (TS/MS) to support the manufacturing of biological medicines. In this role you will perform supporting activities within the TS/MS cell culture and purification labs supporting both manufacture upstream and downstream processes, applying appropriate GLP and safety guidelines.

  • Media and buffer preparation

  • Inventory maintenance, ordering, stocking

  • Glassware cleaning/autoclaving parts, bioreactor assembly

  • Equipment maintenance/cleaning

  • Maintain logs and online records

  • Handling and maintenance of requests/buffer formula database

  • Creation/processing of internal requests

  • Review/cross check of data for accuracy

  • Utilize safe laboratory practices

  • Communication across a matrix organization

  • HS/ GED with minimum of 1 year scientific laboratory experience (e.g. biochemistry lab, microbiology lab, material QC lab, biomedical research lab)

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

  • Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  • Ability to work in a lab environment, including wearing appropriate PPE and other safety required equipment and considerations

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment

  • Demonstrated scientific and general math skills

  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Previous experience in a laboratory environment

  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
