Tech transfer specialist
 The Tech transfer specialist is responsible for the process development of assay-specific processes as well as for the technology transfer of the new assays from R&D to Manufacturing. 
  • Take responsibility for main events related to process development of assay specific individual components (e.g. liquid dispensing process qualification, process parameters and limits, collection and analysis process data, in process controls, upscaling and transfer to operations, cleaning qualification)
  • Verify for the assay specific components if the process parameter settings lead to  a stable and capable manufacturing process
  • Collaborate, support and communicate efficiently with relevant team members, such as Assay Development, Stability and QC Method Development, Supply Chain, Operations and QA to ensure methods and technology are consistent throughout the company
  • Perform an efficient design transfer to Supply Chain and Operations in a standardized fashion and with an emphasis on reducing the cost of goods
  • Perform an efficient design transfer of certain assay components to and from external partners
  • Present own work at in-house forums and at outside professional meetings
  • Write protocols, reports, technical reviews, tech transfer documentation and SOPs
  • Give support to assay process related documentation (process FMEA, Qualification Plan and Report, Work Instruction, etc.) and specifications
  • Plan, carry out and supervise process trials
  • Continuous improvements and optimization of production processes of assay specific components 




 Requirements:
  • Master degree with min. 5 years of experience in chemistry, biochemistry or molecular biology in the industry is required, preferably in a medical or diagnostic environment
  • PhD is a nice to have
  • Experience with tech transfer and new product introductions is a must
  • Ability to write protocols, reports, standard operating procedures and test methods
  • Experience with analytical techniques is a strong asset
  • Ability to interpret data and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality driven
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to execute effective decision-making, both as an individual and as part of a team and planning
  • Perfect English written and spoken
