Talent Factory AML 23 Undergrad Intern - Puerto Rico
The purpose of this project is to identify areas of opportunities to:
Eliminate or minimize non-value-adding activities
Eliminate waste or redundant processes in order to improve productivity within the manufacturing and/or packaging processes.
The Undergrad-COOP will apply college and previous work experience skills, in the pharmaceutical industry and learn new ones from hands on experience of work assignment. Essential skills required to perform within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment include, but are not limited to: communication, planning, organization, problem solving, team-working, data monitoring, etc.
This role will work and/or support real projects under supervision and guidance of highly skilled professionals that will help the student gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical field. He/she will be exposed to both, tablet manufacturing and packaging processes, including wet granulation, compression, coating, bottle filling, capping, and labeling.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data Collection & Analysis
Project business case development
Meeting coordination with interdepartmental groups for agreement on path forward
Coordinate and/or execute procedures revision
Provide training on new/revise procedure steps
All individuals applying for an internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
At least 3.20 GPA (General)
Be enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Have completed at least 3 years of college education
Strong technical writing skills
Project Management experience
Good interpersonal skills
Able to work with minimum supervision
Proven record of results delivery
Enthusiastic about learning new concepts and work processes
Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point
