Amgen is searching for Undergrad Intern student to support the AML 23 Manufacturing area. This area is responsible for the solid dosage form (tablets) manufacturing and packaging process. This Coop role will report to the Sr Mgr Manufacturing, and will be based on Amgen Manufacturing Limited Juncos site.The purpose of this project is to identify areas of opportunities to:Eliminate or minimize non-value-adding activitiesEliminate waste or redundant processes in order to improve productivity within the manufacturing and/or packaging processes.The Undergrad-COOP will apply college and previous work experience skills, in the pharmaceutical industry and learn new ones from hands on experience of work assignment. Essential skills required to perform within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment include, but are not limited to: communication, planning, organization, problem solving, team-working, data monitoring, etc.This role will work and/or support real projects under supervision and guidance of highly skilled professionals that will help the student gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical field. He/she will be exposed to both, tablet manufacturing and packaging processes, including wet granulation, compression, coating, bottle filling, capping, and labeling.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Data Collection & AnalysisProject business case developmentMeeting coordination with interdepartmental groups for agreement on path forwardCoordinate and/or execute procedures revisionProvide training on new/revise procedure stepsAll individuals applying for an internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:Basic Qualifications At least 3.20 GPA (General)Be enrolled in Bachelor s degree program in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial EngineeringHave completed at least 3 years of college education Preferred Qualifications Strong technical writing skillsProject Management experienceGood interpersonal skillsAble to work with minimum supervisionWell OrganizedProven record of results deliveryEnthusiastic about learning new concepts and work processesProficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power PointAmgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
