Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager - Indirect Categories Mississauga Canada,

Accountabilities:Partner with stakeholders in sourcing goods and or services having complied with Amgen s sourcing policies and processes.Ensures the maximum value proposition of cost of the goods/services procured.Appropriately manage total cost of goods/services at minimum risk to the businessPartner with the stakeholders and Global Category Manager in the development of appropriate sourcing strategies.Manage the sourcing process from selection of Vendors through to contract.Manage and maintains preferred supplier arrangements. Responsibilities Local, ad-hoc sourcing:Opportunity identification: identify local improvement opportunities with respect to management of Purchase demand, Supply base and Total Cost on a local levelRequirements definition: identify and define specific stakeholder requirements;Tendering: define evaluation/selection criteria, define and manage RFI and RFP processes on the basis of the local sourcing strategy, derived from the category sourcing strategy;Supplier Selection: evaluate and negotiate proposals, ensure and validate selection of the best supplier;Supplier Contracting: complete and implement the contract in accordance with legal standards and local Sourcing policies and guidelines;Optimally manage Strategic Suppliers to drive innovation and partnershipsCategory management:Supply base analysis: monitor, analyze and report Affiliate s actual spend, trends, forecasts and Supplier base data;Strategy development: participate in Global category strategy development: participate in Global Sourcing teamsInfrastructure development: support Strategic Sourcing infrastructure development and integration.Purchase to pay compliance:Provide advice and feedback to Global Business Service Contract to Pay on the operational purchase to pay process for the Affiliate.Supplier performance: Performance Monitoring: monitor and report supplier performance on the basis of pre-determined, relevant and measurable KPIsSupplier performance improvement: establish, agree and implement improvement plans.Reporting:Benefits tracking: develop, implement, maintain and report Key Performance Indicators that clearly reflect the achievement of objectives in each business areaSourcing compliance:Educate affiliate members of the sourcing policy and ensure policy is compliance in affiliate. Basic QualificationsPurchasing knowledge: sourcing process, commodity management and analysis, supplier management and development, pricing theory and policy, negotiation, supply chain, make or buy.Degree in business Purchasing related training (PPAC, MBA)4 years Purchasing experience in a profit driven and international environmentProject Management experience (team or direct) Preferred QualificationsExperience in 4 or more of the following indirect categories:FleetMarketing AgenciesMedical communications agenciesTravelFacilities/Real EstatePrinting and FulfillmentLogistics/Warehousing Services Professional/Consulting ServicesMarket research and DataMeeting AgenciesBusiness process related trainingExperience in either leading or participating in Six Sigma projects3 years Business Process related experience in a Pharmaceutical or similar environment Fluency in multiple languages.
