Project Description

Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time

Under the direction of Director Medical Affairs, this individual will be responsible for the national medical strategy and projects for the rheumatological field in the indication psoriatic arthritis.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
  •  Developing the German Medical Affairs plan and contributing to other aspects to ensure that our strategy serves our patients   
  •  Deliver support regarding investigator-initiated trials (IIT) within the review and approval process 
  •  Identification of clinical trial sites and support in the set up of a trial 
  •  Interactions with external experts (KOLs) 
  •  Ensure constant and high-class customer interaction related to medical questions from internal and external stakeholders 
  •  Provide medical input in the health benefit discussion related to new products 
  •  Identify unmet medical needs and contribute science-based information 
  •  Supervise provision of information to the respective disease areas and product-specific training, enabling the sales representatives to understand and convey the scientific benefits of a brand appropriately 
  •  Close interactions with Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety when needed: manage the impact of SAEs and help manage the customer accordingly when SAEs and unexpected AEs arise 
  •  Act as I&I Consultant for all other departments outside of the medical team including health economy as well as sales and marketing: provide ongoing scientific and medical support  
  •  Give scientific presentations in the company’s medical educational program as well as academic settings 
  •  Organize and conduct regional and national advisory boards 
  •  Ensure high-quality I&I training for all company  staff 
  •  Close cooperation with the Director Medical Affairs in order to ensure support and training as well as taking over the co-ordination of specific scientific projects 
  •  Provides input / guidance on contents and reviews / approves local company published educational / promotional materials according to SOPs and legal regulations 
  •  Provide medical input into promotional campaigns 
  •  Representation of the company at relevant meetings and conferences 
  •  Organization of satellite symposia 
  •  Information officer according to §74a AMG

  •  Strong identification with company's values 
  •  Medical or scientific degree 
  •  Several years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in the field of rheumatology, ideally as a medical advisor, but also as a Regional Medical Liaison manager or in a clinic 
  •  Proven experience in presenting new and complex clinical data in front of larger groups 
  •  Proven experience in the moderation of advisory boards 
  •  Deep knowledge of scientific findings and progress in the field of Rheumatology (Psoriatic Arthritis): On top of all latest developments 
  •  Being familiar with translating scientific or clinical data into compelling messages to help physicians best serve their patients  
  •  Being able to communicate scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals 
  •  Being able to develop peer-to-peer relationships with top-ranking medics, scientists or other healthcare professionals 
  •  Knowledge of clinical trial design and process 
  •  Knowledge of the National Healthcare System  
  •  Extensive Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills 
  •  Fluent in English
