Project Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support to and facilitates cross-functional program teams responsible for all aspects of the development and lifecycle management of obeticholic acid and other molecules. Manages teams and projects, tracks and communicates key project activities, timelines, risks, budgets and resourcing needs. Program teams are supported by matrixed resources and the position requires routine and open interaction with the team representatives, senior management, and function area leaders. Develops tools to support company-wide communication of project activities, deliverables and timelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Project team management: " Manages cross-functional project teams " Coordinates and monitors all activities in collaboration with the program team leader and/or Director, Program Management " Facilitates and contributes to the implementation of drug development plans " Facilitates project team meetings: o Ensure collaborative and productive team meetings o Actively manage team meetings, ensure appropriate topics brought to the team for discussion and decision-making o Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes, utilizing and maintaining SharePoint site o Identify action items and assure execution in collaboration with the team leader Communication: " Identifies potential timeline risks, issues, and deviations from plans; communicates with program lead leader and team members, and collaborates towards resolution " Communicates with project team members to ensure that each team member is aware of both individual and team responsibilities and deliverables and that team members follow through on execution " Responsible for development and maintenance of project timelines " Ensures program plans, development plans, target product profiles, status reports, and other key project documents are prepared and have team agreement " Serves as the central point of contact for all project related communications " Works with senior management and the finance department to develop and track project budgets and resourcing needs; participates in annual budget and forecasts " Assists with company-wide communication tools (e.g., web-based program management systems, monthly report, Board presentations, etc.) " Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: " Bachelor s degree and 8 years in drug development. MS/MA degree and 6 years  drug development experience. " Advanced degree in life science or business preferred " Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is required " PMP certification is desirable REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
