Job DescriptionPosition Overview: This position will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support for Health and Wellness benefits for Biogen U.S. employees. The position reports to the Head of U.S. Benefits who supports all U.S. Employee Benefits.
Job Description:

• With an appreciation for the underlying value proposition, partner with leadership to create exceptional and integrated health and wellness programs and practices for Biogen employees.

• Ensure the Company s Health and Wellness programs adhere to current regulations and support the company s strategic objectives with respect to attracting and retaining top talent.

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with external vendors and benefit providers, including contract negotiation, benefits administration, and service levels.

• As necessary, mediate between benefit providers and employees in the resolution of complex benefits related questions.

• Manage and coordinate aspects of large, complex projects such as Annual Enrollment, the implementation of new plan/program initiatives, and all aspects of benefits administration.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of communication materials.

• Work collaboratively with other colleagues in Compensation and Benefits as well as those who are responsible for People Systems, People Services, Legal, Accounting, Tax and Payroll.

• Comfortable and experienced in explaining benefit plans, rules, policies and procedures to a sophisticated client base.

• Strong knowledge of health savings account/consumer driven health plans including but not limited to plan design, taxation, reporting, and vendor /bank reporting and management.

• Prior experience in applying data and knowledge of best practices to develop and execute a wellness strategy and initiatives.

• 7 to 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles in health and welfare and wellness benefits.
• Bachelor s Degree required, graduate degree preferred with applicable studies in business, communications or related field.
