Maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, install, operate, and repair problems related to cooling/heating and process systems including all aspects of pipe fitting Lubricate motors, pumps, bearing assemblies, and other moving parts Be proficient in functionality of the building systems and understand the processes required for building operations Continually review systems and energy consumption and offer recommendations for improved efficiency and energy consumption Participate on Emergency Response Team Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other contractor services to ensure timely completion of facilities projects Participate in continuous improvement efforts of the Facilities department Ability to perform work in permit-required confined spaces. Perform other general maintenance related duties Work overtime as needed by the department. Work flexible hours as business needs require, including annual plant shutdowns. Be on call to handle all after hours and weekend calls for repairs. Assist facilities personnel and other manufacturing areas including Sterization as needed. Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations. Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles. Other duties as assigned.
