Provide support to HR team members through coordinating key HR processes and initiatives as well as execution of Human Resources programs and activities aligned with Human Resources strategy and in support of identified business needs, goals and objectives including talent acquisition, performance management, talent management, development, etc. Work involves the application of independent thinking, the ability to work autonomously and make decisions using sound judgment and the ability to establish and manage a network of key Union stakeholders to ensure appropriate alignment and accelerate business results. Perform some of the activities of the HRBP role, at lower levels of organization, where necessary to support multiple client needs.

1). Manages time keeping and attendance discipline responsiblities for applicable site employees. Duties may include entering of time, training managers on system requirements, coordination of time keeping reports and schedules to corporate payroll, monitoring implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract. 2). Partner with the HR Business Partner to develop workforce analysis by leveraging analytics, data & reports related to turnover, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, Performance Management etc. 3). Responsible for the coordination of all employee life cycle management activities and transactions including changes in position, reporting, promotions, shift changes and terminations. Responsible for generating and collecting all required letters and documentation to support changes. 4). Support Union matters including arbitrations and grievances. Arranges and schedules meetings between grieving workers, supervisory and managerial personnel, and Business Representative, to investigate and resolve grievances or participate in arbitration. Maintain records associated with said activities. 5). Prepares statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration and mediation cases, and related labor relations activities, to identify problem areas. 6). Coordinates planning, scheduling, and logistics for various HR activities to include New Employee Orientation, Interviews, Site trainings, Cross Calibration, Site meetings and any other site or department events.

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4 years Human Resources experience required or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR Management or similar discipline required.
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Confidentiality due to nature of work. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Demonstrated typing skill – 65 wpm. Must have a strong work ethic. High degree of flexibility in daily work assignments.
  • No leadership experience required. Shared impact on departmental expense budget. Significant exposure to and dialogue with colleagues within Elanco.
  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
