This position reports to the Associate Director of Finance Service Delivery/Management, and assists in the systems administration and management for the Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system. BPC performs the collection, tracking and reporting of global financial plan information. The position will assist the BPC team to maintain the system through various upgrades and operations, as well as working on system roadmaps and enhancements required to meet the ever-changing financial business needs. The position will also ensure the system integrity in meeting all the SDLC and regulatory requirements to keep Merck in good standing with internal and governmental policies.

In addition, the position will have the opportunity to work in evolving IT financial landscapes in the various evolving platforms that are required to meet the changing financial business needs such as the financial close and consolidation system and finance warehouse reporting.

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

1. Manage and own the BPC change control process;

2. Manage and own the BPC security process;

3. Assist in administering various BPC applications;

4. Work with users to troubleshoot and resolve issues;

5. Ad hoc projects as necessary

6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are a must. This candidate must have a very strong focus on customer service and user support. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to sell and implement solutions are also critical.

Qualifications

Education:

- Requires a minimum of a BA/BS in Information Technology, Accounting, Business,

Required:

- Minimum of 2 years of professional IT experience

Preferred:

- Experience in HFM, FDM/FDMEE, and Hyperion Financial Report

- BPC Experience

- SQL Knowledge

- BW Experience
