Job Description : 
  •  Software QA Test Engineer will help drive our current mass spectrometry technology offering to food safety market, and  other adjacent markets across the world. 
  • You will become a key member of the Discovery and Analytical Solutions Software R&D team and work with company’s Mass Spectrometry R&D organization.
 


 Key responsibilities   
  • Work with Software and Firmware engineers to evaluate LC-MSMS software application design and provide performance data of new and established software features 
  • Work closely with a cross functional development team to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer 
  • Quality Control and system performance evaluation of software/hardware communication 
  • The candidate must be detail oriented with excellent documentation skills  

 

 Expertise required   
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree science (chemistry or physics preferred), engineering or a related discipline 
  • Experience using laboratory equipment and instrument control software on real samples in a customer lab situation preferred 
  • Working knowledge of mass spectrometry principles, and ICP-MS hardware/software is an asset 
  • Recent experience in a high technology environment is an asset 
  • Demonstrated experience with various software testing methodologies 
  • Experience writing, editing and executing manual test cases is required 
  • Experience with the Agile development process and tools (JIRA) is an asset 
  • The candidate must have a clear understanding of cross functional development processes, and be able to work independently 
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines 
  • Excellent computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office applications, Installing Windows OS, managing Windows user level security, modifying registry settings) 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent team orientation
