Responsible for the effective coordination of work within specified product group. Monitor the technicians, supplies, reagents and testing results for the product group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate and monitor production aspects of product group.
•Monitor the work group to ensure compliance with Outlines of Production (OOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test results and governing bodies.
•Serve as a model to product group technicians as it relates to effective time management and utilization of resources.
•Sign off on batch files for the product group.
•Determine the needs and schedule the media, reagent and/or buffer production for the product group.
•Make media, reagents and/or buffers.
•Maintain appropriate inventory levels of product group supplies, including ordering of supplies.
•Complete documentation for licensed products.
•Working with Department Manager, determine and follow production schedule for specified product group.
•Assist in training employees working with the product group.
•Review and/or write SOPs and forms for product group.
•Assist Sr. Group Leader in the day-to-day work flow of the department.
•Assist with other products outside of the specified product group as needed.
•Share responsibility for departmental housekeeping and adherence to established safety procedures.
•Perform all other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
•Education: Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent in biological science or related discipline.
•Experience: Two or more years related technical experience.
•An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•Other: Experience using desktop computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
