The De Soto facility is part of the global Merck Manufacturing Division in the Animal Health Network and is a key contributor to the manufacturing of animal health products. The role will be within our Antigen Operations team, which is responsible for the compliant manufacture of antigen products and serial vaccine batches produced at the site.
The successful candidate will report to one of the Operations Team Managers and will be expected to effectively perform the daily manufacturing activities in compliance with relevant Manufacturing Documents, Standard Operating Procedures, local Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety procedures and Merck corporate policies in order to complete the production schedule.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- BSc (hons) degree in a science discipline.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience working in a large scale cGMP or USDA regulated manufacturing environment.
- Can demonstrate a strong compliance mind-set (EHS, Quality and Finance).
- Can demonstrate Good Documentation Practices and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Capable of working effectively with team members and showing initiative to support others on the team.
- Can demonstrate the ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Capable of performing advanced technical processes in an aseptic manner.
- Uses understanding of continuous improvement tools to participate and/or support process improvement projects.
- Has a comprehensive knowledge of key scientific concepts.
- Has the ability to solve simple work-related problems.
