The RWE (real world evidence) Strategic Consultation Scientist is a leader in the RWE hub, serving as a strategic liaison between the RWE hub and the scientific and business functions across Lilly. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your RWE scientific expertise and business acumen to generate solutions for the benefit of the diabetes business unit including connected care and digital health. Some responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Anticipates and evaluates future market needs and trends for RWE within specified health care environments including digital health.
Utilizes deep understanding of the cross-functional nature of drug development and post-marketing support to inform RWE strategy.
Synthesize and translate complex RWE scientific information to cross functional business partners to ensure investment in the most effective RWE solutions for the business.
Understand and anticipate the needs of medical and business partners across Lilly.
Integrate environmental awareness, corporate business function understanding, and RWE expertise to guide the evolution of the RWE centralized function.
Develop a cross functional RWE/D plan to enable the diabetes business unit to accomplish their highest objectives.
Leverage technical expertise:
Design and execute studies to assess new RWE technologies and evaluate these for greater deployment in the company.
Ph.D., M.D., PharmD., or Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g., economics, epidemiology, health administration, health services, medicine, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, or other relevant sciences)
10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience
3+ years of real world evidence (RWE) research
Significant previous training and experience in designing and conducting research and disseminating the results in the areas of health economics, health outcomes, disease management, and/or population health preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-oriented/cross-functional environment
The ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation
The ability to travel domestically and to international locations.
Knowledge and experience of health care systems in the U.S., Europe, Asia or other settings as appropriate for the position requirements
Understanding of and experience with clinical settings and clinical research
Technical and analytic capabilities in the areas of economic modeling, economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness evaluation, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, health care policy etc.
The ability to influence individuals
Demonstrated project management skills.
