Senior Scientist/ Study Director (Fulltime)


In this position you will be working in the Clinical Services Department. The department is responsible for clinical operations and analysis of clinical studies on vaccines and antiviral drugs.



You will be managing clinical analysis, including project organization and planning, monitoring of assay performance, data quality control, preparing protocols and reports, and delivery of milestones agreed with senior management or described in contracts. You will report directly to the department head. You will collaborate with the group leaders on a daily basis to manage and evaluate the ongoing projects. You will maintain adequate communication with colleagues and third parties to ensure swift project progress.


Personal competences

We expect you to have managing skills, a great commitment, to be loyal, reliable  and willing to work outside office hours. We also expect you to pay attention to detail and focus on quality. Strong verbal and written communication skills at a professional level in Dutch and English are also required.


Education and experience

We expect you to have a PhD in microbiology, virology and/or immunology. A strong background in respiratory virus (clinical) research is an advantage. We would appreciate your documented experience with project management.


Salary level

This will be determined according to education, experience, and company policy. We offer a one-year contract with the possibility of extension upon good performance, and eventually a permanent position.
