Description:
The Analytics group of the CMC Department (Chemistry Manufacturing and Control) at our company is looking for an experienced (Senior) Research Associate that will be part of the team responsible for the in depth analysis of the quality, stability and purity of the Nano bodies during pre-clinical and clinical development.



Responsibilities
  • You will use state-of-the-art equipment to develop and/or run various analytical methods including HPLC (normal and reversed phase chromatography), UV- and fluorescence spectroscopy, SDS-PAGE, iso-electric focusing (IEF), DLS, DSC, particle testing, osmolality testing, viscosity measurements, … 
  • You have hands on experience and are able to develop an in depth technological know-how of some of the analytical methods listed above 
  • You will apply these techniques in stability studies, stress testing and the development of stable formulations 
  • You will use these methods to control the quality and consistency of Nanobody preparations and thereby assist in the development of a large-scale manufacturing process for specific Nanobody-based pharmaceuticals 
  • You will characterize Nanobody product variants and investigate degradation products and pathways 
  • You will plan your daily work, perform the experimental work and prepare concise written reports of your results in English 
  • You assist in the drafting of written working protocols 
  • You are responsible for logistic planning(s) in the laboratory 



Profile
  • Degree B. Sc. or M. Sc. (Industrial Engineer), Master in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or equivalent with at least 2 to 5 years of experience in laboratory work 
  • Experience in physico-chemical analysis of proteins is an asset 
  • Experience with common HPLC equipment and mass spectrometry is an asset 
  • Team player, enthusiastic, independent and self-motivated 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Sense for initiative, quality, accuracy and detail 
  • Knowledge of Dutch and English
