  • We are looking for a strong candidate for the position of Senior Project Manager with Responsibility for design, execution and hand-over of mid-size to large investment projects within cost, time schedule, quality and functionality. 

.Accountabilities 
  • Project delivered to cost and schedule according to the approved targets/scope. 
  • Meet quality requirements according to Validation Master Plan, results of audits and feedback from QA. No critical findings in project audits or reviews.
  • Functionality achieved as defined in the User Requirement Specification (URS).
  • Project executed according to internal project management and controlling procedures. 
  • Highest safely standards implemented during design, construction and commissioning. No findings in Health Safety Environment (HSE) audits.
  • Customer satisfaction, survey by project champion and user. 
  • Development of high performing and fully motivated project team. 
  • Successful project hand-over to the user-team including the right level of training and correct documentation.

For initial Project Management Position:
  • No Lost Time Incidents on during project execution. No findings in HSE audits.
  • Project delivered to cost and schedule according to the approved targets/scope.
  • Demonstrate innovation by implementation of state of the art technical solutions to ensure compliance with internal and external quality, safety and ecology standards. 
  • Definition and implementation of overall project resources (internal and external) and provision of daily leadership. 
  • Set up project teams with internal as well as external resources
  • Meet quality requirements according to Validation Master Plan, results of audits and feedback from QA.

  • Functionality achieved as defined in the URS/ project scope.

  • Ensuring sharing and leverage of best practices and expertise within the Novartis engineering community. 

For mid-term lead position within Global Engineering:
  • Effective stakeholder management within the entire GMS network
  • Represent Engineering in global programs and other global functions
  • Actively develop Global Engineering as a value adding business partner within GMS
  • Manage intercultural and interdisciplinary group of people with and without formal authority and develop high performing teams
  • Contribute to the development of business cases.

  • Degree in engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent (mechanical / process / chemical or equivalent
  • English essential, others helpful
  • +10 years of general engineering experience thereof +5 years  experience in investment projects preferably in international environment
  • Broad Leadership experience for the management of internal and external resources in international environment
  • Outstanding Project Management knowledge including successful contract management with ability to deliver safe and fully compliant projects.
  • Well-developed communication skills, able to present to Senior Management 
  • In-depth technical experience in a GxP regulated environment with knowledge of chemical and/or pharmaceutical engineering operations.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry not limited to technical aspects only
