Senior Program/Project Manager - United States
Create a change management strategy to support adoption of the PPM system and continued stakeholder engagement at all levels
Lead the PPM Core Team in design and delivery of actionable deliverables for the change management levers of communications plans, sponsor roadmaps, coaching plans, training needs and adoption plans
Deploy a cross-functional change management and communication plan which engages leaders at all levels including process end-users
Design, develop and deliver key communications in alignment with the PPM Business Lead and Information Systems (IS) Lead
Own the business process documentation for PPM and ensure ongoing alignment with cross-functional needs at the Core Team level
Provide input on the business process for design and delivery of PPM training programs
Execute the PPM Operations Model aspect of change requests on a day-to-day basis in partnership with the PPM Core Team
Provide management and oversight of change and system enhancement requests and resulting required training and communication needs to key stakeholders and system users
Conduct impact analyses when a change occurs, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
Lead change management activities associated with the PPM implementation and ongoing system enhancements as part of the PPM ongoing Operations Model
Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics to support full process and PPM process and system adoption Reinforcing proper decision making according to Amgen’s Decision Making Framework.
Monitoring and communicating progress and adherence to timelines.
Conducting risk management, contingency and scenario planning using a variety of project management tools.
Adapting and thriving in a changing environment and building high-preforming cross-functional teams.
Demonstrating strong written/oral communication skills and executive presence across functions and across different levels of leadership.
In addition, the SPM may be asked to lead and/or participate in special department, cross-functional, or team projects.
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management experience
OR Master’s degree and 4 years of Project Management experience
OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Project Management experience
OR Associate's degree and 10 years of Project Management experience
OR High School diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience
Advanced degree or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training experience in leading cross-functional teams.
8+ years industry experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare-related field.
4+ years experience in a drug development Project Management role.
Drug Development knowledge with basic to strong understanding of other functions relevant to the position which may include: Research, Preclinical, Clinical, Manufacturing, Commercial and Regulatory
Proven record of implementing Project Management tools, methodologies, practices and infrastructure, as related to the Biopharmaceutical Industry.
Informed with current biopharmaceutical industry knowledge, news and trends and ability to apply to programs.
Independent, motivated, team member with experience in a matrix environment.
