We are looking for an experienced physician with a Medical Degree, and, ideally, with a completed training in Psychiatry (board certification) and experience in the practice of medicine.
The Department of Clinical Development – Psychiatry has global responsibility for the scientific aspects of bringing new compounds to the market for the treatment of Mood Disorders (depression) and Psychosis (schizophrenia). The members of the department are experienced physicians and scientists who are located in Denmark, France and the US. We contribute to clinical development plans, study protocols, regulatory submissions and the Lundbeck Disease Strategy Groups. Our members present at investigator meetings, congresses and in meetings with regulators. Internally, we work in project teams and have close collaborations with Preclinical Research, Clinical Operations (Clinical Study Management), Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety and Medical Affairs.
The Position will be located at the Lundbeck company headquarter in Copenhagen (Valby,) Denmark
Your job and key responsibilities(sentences with max 2 -3 bullets)
You will be involved in the design and conduct of clinical trials in depression and / or schizophrenia as a Medical Expert or Medical Monitor providing scientific and medical advice to the study team. You will also be involved in internal trainings and scientific presentations. The role requires the ability to travel regularly in Europe and occasionally also overseas (North America, Asia). You will be reporting to the Chief Specialist Mood & Anxiety Disorders who is working out of Copenhagen (Valby)
- Board-certified psychiatrist and solid specialist background in CNS drug development with at least 5 years of previous experience in Clinical Development in a pharmaceutical company or a contract research organisation (CRO)
- Past successful work with international cross-functional teams;
- In-depth knowledge of study methodology, study data review and analysis;
- Excellent knowledge of study publication processes and publications within the Psychiatry Therapeutic Area;
- Good knowledge of study execution, benefit risk management and regulatory affairs
- Proven leadership skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Ambitious, goal-oriented and result-driven
