Description
  • Our company  in Switzerland is looking for a Market Access professional with strong experience in pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement to build and maintain sustainable local collaborations with external stakeholders such as the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG), pharmaceutical associations, academic institutions and health insurers. 
  • Reporting to the Market Access Director, you will be responsible for developing, recommending and executing effective Market Access and Pricing and Reimbursement strategies for products in selected our company  therapeutic areas such as immune-oncology, hepatitis, diabetes or vaccines. 
  • Within the Swiss organization, you will be an active member of cross-functional teams for your assigned products and assure that pricing and reimbursement needs are covered in the franchise plans and actions.



Main accountabilities include but are not limited to the following activities:
  •  Responsible for the development of a pricing and submission strategy for assigned products
  •  Provide accurate pricing assumptions for the financial forecast for assigned products
  •  Lead BAG pricing and reimbursement submission and negotiations for pre-defined products/ new indications; proactively seek input from all stakeholder involved in the pre-launch phase of a product or new indications
  •  Deliver comprehensive value dossiers for BAG submission of new launches/ indications within your product responsibility
  •  Proactively assure a continuous knowledge exchange within the Market Access and Pricing team in topics concerning legal, policy and scientific topics for pricing and reimbursement
  •  Play an active consulting role in pricing and reimbursement topics within the cross-functional launch teams
  •  For financial forecasting activities, deliver solid pricing assumption and impact scenarios Support team by reviewing BAG communications, delivering analysis of ordinance, scenario analysis and developing common local pricing strategies for all franchises
  •  Review and summarize all relevant publications, documents concerning BAG topics
  •  Maintain productive, proactive relationships with regional and global Market Access and Pricing teams in order to assure requests from both sides (local and global) can be completed within the agreed timelines



Qualifications
  •  Master s Degree in Life Sciences, Medical, Economics or another relevant discipline; Master of Public Health, CAS or Master in Health Economics would be an asset
  •  3-5 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry; at least 8 years of experience for seniority
  •  Documented track record in pharmaceutical market access in therapeutic areas such as immune-oncology, diabetes, hepatitis or vaccines
  •  Proven experience with pricing and reimbursement and other market access related topics; additional experience in Marketing, Medical Affairs or Clinical Research is beneficial
  •  Academic experience related to disease management/ health economics / public health policy is advantageous
  •  Expert understanding of Swiss Health Care system and broader health landscape
  •  In depth knowledge of developing health care trends (e.g. DRG, integrated care) and industry trends such as Value Based Pricing
  •  Thorough understanding of the healthcare system, economic and financial models
  •  Strong knowledge of the legal framework in regards to special requests from health insurers and/or physicians
  •  Good understanding of the principles of evidence based medicine
  •  Demonstrated ability to learn and understand the principles of new disease areas and products within a short timeframe
  •  Strong analytical and strategic thinking; demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for the business, to prioritize strategically and commercially, effectively managing competing priorities; understanding of key business metrics and their application
  •  Strong customer focused approach; proven ability to make informed, fact based decisions to help solve customer issues and increase access to accounts
  •  Proven experience of project management, effective organization and delegation with objectives and measurement systems
  •  Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership capabilities to liaise with non-direct reports around account priorities and negotiation skills
  •  Fluency in both German and English; additional language skills in another national language (French, Italian) is advantageous
