Project Description

The Senior Director of FP&A reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is a proven professional, responsible for providing detailed sales reporting and analysis, business performance analysis, short, mid and long-term financial forecasting and budgeting and evaluation support of business opportunities and investments.  The role also includes assessing potential acquisitions / expansions, and partnering with senior management to identify and drive sales and cost synergies.  The role requires working effectively and cross-functionally, in a rapidly changing environment.


  • Provide strategic and operational financial support to executive leadership and operating teams, to drive effective business decision making
  • Refine and/or develop, in partnership with Company leadership and IT, robust data capture and reporting tools to enable efficient, frequent, and reliable access/reporting of sales, orders, pipeline, service, profitability, etc. information
  • Drive strong FP&A functionality in the business, including best-in-class forecasting and accountability processes, financial modeling, KPI development, and global reporting capabilities
  • Lead global annual budget and monthly forecast processes for Repligen’s global business, including entities in the US, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Japan, China, Korea and India, plus new acquired entities, as required
  • Partner in the expansion of the global salesforce including development of territory maps, sales quotas, incentive and performance programs, so that Repligen has a fully integrated and appropriately compensated commercial organization starting in January 2018
  • Coordinate and manage timely sales and order forecasting, planning and budgeting processes for the global commercial organization, in partnership with the Global Vice President of Sales, to provide timely and accurate global sales, orders, pipeline information and key metrics, by product line and territory/region to enable data-driven planning and decision making
  • Participate in the Company’s weekly revenue forecasting and management process with Senior Management and product management teams, providing key inputs and support
  • Drive execution of annual sales commission plans, from planning, quota development and alignment, through analysis and payment calculations
  • Assess total resources for the company by functional area and roll into quarterly, annual and strategic targets for the company
  • Drive preparation and delivery of frequent and meaningful financial management reporting for the global company
  • Partner with senior management to drive the strategy with follow-on preparation of financial projections for the Company’s five year strategic planning process
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and presentations for quarterly and annual earnings releases and audit committee and board meetings
  • Partner with Senior Management and Business Development in the assessment of acquisition candidates and driving due diligence activities, as required
  • Provide data analysis, policy execution, pipeline review, deal structuring, orders and terms review and other analysis, etc. to support the selling process
  • Perform special analysis and project support, as required


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or  Business Administration, with MBA preferred
  • Selling experience a strong benefit
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an analytical leadership role, providing strategic guidance and hands-on experience
  • Multi-national company experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools like, Cognos and Tableau
  • Adaptable team player with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands on work ethic with very strong attention to detail
  • High degree of professional curiosity and analytical prowess 
  • Confident making tactical and strategic recommendations to Company Leadership
