This position provides executive level administrative support to the Merck Animal Health, Global Regulatory Affairs team.

- Provide advanced administrative support for Associate Vice-President of Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) along with other GRA leadership team members

- Co-ordinate and plan domestic and international travel for US based GRA leadership team

- Manage US based GRA leadership team appointment calendars and vacation schedules

- Assist in the scheduling and preparation of meetings

- Manage and process expense reports for US based GRA leadership team and departmental purchase orders

- Assist in the scheduling and preparation of internal and external team meetings/events

- Prepare Powerpoint presentations

- Prepare monthly/routine reports

- Review documents for accuracy and authorization

- Provide administrative assistance to GRA Pharmacovigilance team

- Provide assistance to executive R&D administration, as needed

- Schedule interviews, candidate travel and reimbursements well as helps to onboard new employees, as needed.


Education Minimum Requirement:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Advanced education or certifications such as e.g. Associate Degree, Certified Administrative Professional, Project Management Professional Certification, etc. preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

- Minimum of (8) years Administrative Assistant experience

- Minimum of (3) years Executive Administrative experience supporting senior executives (Sr. Director, Executive Director, VP or above)

- Advanced computer skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and operation of other peripheral devices

- Experience scheduling complex travel arrangements including multi-leg domestic and international travel as well as processing expense reports

Preferred Experience and Skills:

- Outstanding communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with Merck staff/business leaders and internal/external customers both on-site, remotely and internationally to maintain workflow.

- Experience with event planning and coordination

- Extraordinary attention to detail

- Experience with financial and budget tasks

- Ability to perform in a multi-task and multi-cultural environment
