  • We are seeking an experienced Scientist for our Qualitative Mass Spectrometry group.



Responsibilities
The following are minimum requirements related to the Scientist position.
  •   You will be expected to elucidate the chemical structure of novel drug and agrochemical metabolites formed in biological systems.  
  • These projects can require the application of a range of techniques including selective extraction methods, chromatographic separation and spectroscopy. 
  •   The successful applicant should have a PhD in Chemistry with a significant analytical component and practical experience of structure elucidation.
  •   Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of LC-MS (MS) of small molecules.
  •   You will be an independent and creative worker with good communication skills and you will be able to work in a dynamic team on multidisciplinary projects.



About our Chemistry Department Qualitative Mass Spectrometry group
The Qualitative Mass Spectrometry Team provide a key function in the Chemistry Department at our company Laboratories, Edinburgh and one that is central to the full range of ADME, Environmental Fate and general chemistry services that we offer to our Agrochemical and Pharmaceutical Sponsors.
