Work in a GLP environment as part of a fast-paced team to develop and perform analytical assays used to support clinical sample testing in the group of Clinical Mass Spectrometry Biomarker Analysis, BCB-Boston. This position involves the processing biological samples (CSF, plasma and tissues), with subsequent quantitative analysis using chromatography and mass spectrometry. The candidate should have independence of experimental design by performing complex analytical procedures and implementing new techniques. The candidate should maintain high quality documentation of his/her work, including the summarization of results in laboratory notebooks, SOPs, technical reports, presentations and regulatory documents.
Solid background in the following is essential: mass spectrometry and HPLC analysis techniques, instrument operations and biological sample processing. Excellent written and oral communication skills, the capability to work on several projects concurrently, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment are essential for the position. Knowledge with regulatory expectations in clinical method development and validation is preferred. Experience in handling lipids would be a plus.
This position requires a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline or equivalent with minimum of 0-2 years of industrial working experience.
