Project Description

External Posting TitleScientist I/II, Analytical Development, Process Analytical Technology
Job DescriptionThis scientist will develop innovative solutions for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) within each of Biogen’s four therapeutic modalities: Proteins, Pharmaceuticals (small molecules), Oligonucleotides, and Gene Therapy. Evaluating existing and emerging spectroscopic and other analytical technologies, this scientist will build capabilities within our development functions. The scientist will evaluate where these techniques can replace existing off-line technologies to provide rapid analysis and shortened decision cycles for our process development partners. The scientist will also collaborate with manufacturing scientists to find and develop technologies that can be impactful in a manufacturing setting. These solutions will be delivered to both internal and external manufacturing functions.

In this function, the scientist will contribute to novel control strategies across our modalities.
