|The Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IT organization has been progressing through a challenging and exciting phase of transformation in SAP, including finance, HR and Supply Chain functionality has now been successfully implemented in over 50 affiliates / manufacturing sites globally. We now turn our focus more toward the business needs of the future. A key role in this transformation sits with the APO Solution Architect position. |
Working as part of the global SAP SCM delivery team, a Solution Architect is responsible for defining and then driving the implementation of the longer term strategic plans, working across the production planning business processes and beyond, helping the business shape their future using technology and information in ways of which they previously couldn’t even imagine possible.
Your primary focus in this particular Solution Architect role will be focusing within the APO solution within SAP and overseeing the “Plan” portfolio within the organisation’s Plan/Buy/Make/Store/Distribute/Quality account management/delivery model. As well as having a deep understanding of the existing functionality and business processes supported the existing implementation, you will need to partner with the business to drive simplified future state design which maximises the usefulness of the SAP asset in this continually growing business area. You will also need to understand the interactions with systems outside of the SAP landscape to have end to end knowledge of the contract manufacturing landscape.
A large element of this role will then be taking the strategy and driving project execution through others.
Some regional and international travel will be required to meet with business partners and develop key working relationships as part of a global function.
