Research Engineer II (Recovery), Franklinton, NC
We’re seeking an ambitious and energetic person to join our global Optimization team. You will have a focused effort on the optimization of recovery production processes to reduce the variable cost, liberate capacity and/or improve the product quality. You will – together with your colleagues in the Downstream team - be responsible for all recovery process related optimization, incremental or step changes. You will also be responsible for small and large scale trials, and the implementation of optimized processes into production.
In this position you need to have:
- MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering
- Experience with protein and enzyme chemistry considered a plus
- Experience and skills in working with big data, statistical analysis and model development
- Excellent interpersonal and team work skills
- Demonstrated success in taking initiative and having a collaboration style
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
