Research Associate, Microbial Fermentation and Recovery Development
Are you ready for a challenging role that lets you use both your scientific grounding and communication skills? If so, you could be our new colleague in the fermentation development group, a dynamic team of scientists and researchers located in RTP, NC. You’ll work within the internal research group, as well as with outside units, to develop advanced and scalable fermentation processes for both existing and novel microbe-based products (i.e. bacteria, fungi and yeast). Alongside an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles of microbial fermentation/recovery and process development, you demonstrate good stake-holder management and exceptional communication skills. In your daily work, you’ll use all of these talents to pioneer research and transform it into value-added products for a variety of industries, including agriculture, animal health and nutrition, household care and biofuels.

In this position you need to:

- Have a Bachelor or Masters in Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or similar

- Background in liquid or solid-state fermentation strongly preferred

- Experience with statistical analysis and DOE

- Be a team player with strong analytical and communication skills

- Be able to work independently

- Be proactive and ready to take responsibility
