This is a full time (40 hours/week) contractor position. We are looking for an operations coordinator who has a can-do attitude to provide help in the laboratory supporting Translational Pathology, Toxicology Pathology and Exploratory Toxicology. The primary responsibilities include assisting scientists and pathologists in the functional areas with: 1) pre-clinical and clinical sample receiving and accessioning, shipping, tracking, and inventory, 2) histology, toxicology and clinical study database organization, 3) lab equipment scheduled maintenance, 4) slide scanning, 5) slides, blocks, and paperwork filing, 6) coordination of compound ordering/shipment and data/quality assurance, 7) lab equipment scheduled maintenance, 8) other administrative duties or light lab work as needed.
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 2 years of relevant experience. This candidate will need to have strong interpersonal skills, work well within a team, be detail oriented, and well organized. Strong written and oral communication skills are critical. Computer skills are required and the candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with laboratory information systems and file sharing software is desired.
