We are currently seeking a

Regional Training Manager for Mid-Sized and North-East regions (Manager or Senior Manager depending on experience)
to join the Sales & Marketing Effectiveness Team. Due to the country focus and travel requirements of this role, relocation is not required. The successful candidate will be ideally based in one of the following locations: Vienna (Austria), Brussels (Belgium), Breda (Netherlands), Stockholm (Sweden).

As a member of the Sales & Marketing Effectiveness team, the Regional Training Manager will build and maintain a network of country based trainers to facilitate the roll-out of localized Customer Engagement (CE) related training initiatives across the relevant regions. Furthermore the successful candidate will ensure appropriate support for Sales & Marketing training and will align all countries on common objectives and timelines.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESBuild, maintain and train the network of internal & external country based trainers:Build and run internal and external networks (focus in 2017)
Train internal and external network members on the Amgen sales process (P4) and other CE related training content
Ensure integrity and quality of content delivery over time

Build & maintain Sales Force training curriculumParticipate in the development of a SF curriculum based on country needs & building on global priorities / materials – in partnership with Regional & Global Learning & Performance (L&P)
Collect feedback and advice from country Sales Representatives and District Managers and weave into optimization and evolution of SF training curriculum

Coordinate with additional programsEvaluate country training needs and promote L&P training programs
Deliver CE training in existing programs (e.g. Sales Leadership, Multichannel training)
Coordinate activities & objectives with Sales Leadership Trainer in order to harmonize coaching & delivery

Be a standing member of the European Global Commercial Organization L&P group and participate in all group meetings and activities
At least 60% travel involved during 2017 and approximately 40% thereafter

Minimum of 10 years experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
Minimum 2 years Sales Representative experience
Minimum 3-5 years experience as District / Sales Manager
Fluency in English
Deep knowledge of customer engagement/selling techniques theory and practice
Capability to deliver AND coordinate the delivery of complex sales and marketing training solutions
Experience in people management – experience in managing cross-functional teams, even remotely
Ability to speak at Business Unit Manager level and influence positively
Great capability to work independently & represent the sub-regions applying European directives

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSExtensive experience in sales force and sales force management preferred

University degree related to pharmaceuticals / personnel development / (adult) teaching
2-5 years experience in a training role involving design, delivery and evaluation of training programs
Demonstrable understanding of current leading edge & innovative training practices
Evidence of training programs personally delivered
Ability to build and manage network of professionals
Experience in working with cross-functional teams across multiple countries
Additional European language(s)
