Position Summary:

NAFTA Regional Product Managers for the Probiotics Business Unit report to the Director of Product Management for the Americas. In this role, RPMs:

  • Strive to balance customers  needs with profitability and internal supply capability.

  • Achieve maximum sustainable top-line growth and profitability of probiotic dietary supplements in the NAFTA region by:

    • Executing and evolving regional business strategy and organizational capabilities to maximize value leadership in the market.

    • Challenging status quo and continually advancing business processes to maximize agility and responsiveness.

    • Creating and maintaining tools and materials that enable the sales team to effectively represent probiotics products, features, and value propositions with customers.

    • Developing industry and key account plans with sales and marketing teams.

    • Providing business direction in cross-functional project teams for product pipeline initiatives involving clinical research, applications development, or new product launch.

    • Exploring new business opportunities across multiple sales channels and adjacent markets.

  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership behavior and embody DuPont s Core Values of safety, ethics, people treatment, and environmental stewardship while interacting with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Business Unit Strategy:

  • Participate in regional strategy development process to define ways to broaden and strengthen the business and product offering.

  • Communicate business strategy to counterparts and stakeholders in sales, technical, and operations teams.

  • Monitor customer and competitor landscape, and inform internal stakeholders of notable trends, changes, and risks.

    Business Development:

  • Drive growth with customers in the NAFTA region. Seek ways to leverage the organization s flexibility and develop the most efficient business models for us and our customers.

  • Provide next-level business and technical support for sales managers in customer engagements. Build strong and sustainable relationships with key customers.

  • Negotiate key contracts with customers, sales teams, and legal teams to defend existing market position and nurture future business growth.

  • Lead reviews of opportunity pipeline with account managers, and represent the pipeline in cross-functional business planning meetings. Ensure alignment between sales, demand management, and supply chain teams.

  • Escalate critical issues and roadblocks to the Regional Product Director for resolution.

    Marketing and Innovation:

  • Develop new product launch plans and launch execution activities in the NAFTA region. Monitor and report status and success of launches across the organization.

  • Actively participate in industry teams and innovation teams to evolve and develop our standard and custom product offerings.

  • Serve as commercial leader and represent the voice of the customer for regional and global innovation projects.

    Portfolio Management:

  • Understand customer needs, profitability, and supply challenges for a broad portfolio of products. Develop plans to emphasize, improve, replace, or sunset products to optimize balance of external and internal requirements.

  • Set and maintain prices for standard and custom products, ensuring compatibility with global and regional pricing strategies and profitability targets.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, technical, quality, and supply chain teams to prioritize improvement efforts and take corrective actions for underperforming products.

  • Provide insights and feedback on regional pricing architecture. Communicate product pricing to sales team and customers.


  • Monitor and report on key wins and losses, innovation project progress toward milestones, sales progress toward quarterly targets, and progress of organizational action plans to regional and global leaders.

Job Qualifications

In order to qualify for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, business, engineering, microbiology or related field.

  • 3+ years of dietary supplements, probiotics, or pharma industry experience.

  • 3+ years of customer facing experience.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and data analysis skills.

  • Ability to maintain strong drive and high energy in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business environment.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills for balancing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a complex matrix organization.

  • Ability to influence and build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.

  • Working knowledge of financial, quality, and supply chain metrics.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

  • Willingness to travel up to 35% for customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and team meetings.

  • Strong sense of humor!

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • MBA or other graduate degree

  • Prior experience as a product manager.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software,, and Tableau.

  • Understanding of the various sales channels and value chains in the dietary supplements industry.

  • Experience working with dietary supplements brand owners and contract manufacturers.

  • Knowledge of microbiome science, probiotic strains, and associated clinical benefits.

  • Knowledge of probiotic formulation and effective delivery systems.

  • Familiarity with consumer market data such as Euromonitor, Nielsen, and SPINS.

  • Certification in continuous improvement methodology such as Six Sigma or Lean.
