Regional IT Service Manager, IT Operations, Beijing
Responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of high quality global IT services to affiliates in the APAC region. This is done through necessary coordination with Novozymes’ s senior management and Zymer’s at Novozymes’ s affiliates as well as external vendors (in the IT market). Additional responsibility concerns the people management of the Chinese IT Team.
The detailed tasks and responsibilities will include,

Ensuring IT services delivery in the region is effective, efficient, compliant and meets business demands. This is done through,
Liaising as a regional representative of IT with local senior management including maintaining an effective network with site management in every affiliate.

Act as primary IT contact and escalation point in the region i.e. being the face of IT.

Collection of feedback from Management and Affiliate representatives to support operation improvements, corporate standards and IT strategy.

Regional representation within the Operations Governance structure, including Periodic liaising with regional 3rd party suppliers
Monitoring and assisting in service escalation.

Maintaining an effective network of site contacts within their region Periodic liaising with site contact to ensure effective on-site processes.

Establishing / overseeing setup and inventory of IT Supplies needed at each site .

On-boarding / training of assigned resource, ensuring resource knows duties, roles and relevant facility locations

Working with local management for resource assignment / allocation Regular site visits and open house meetings

Drive compliance and participate in internal security and quality audits

Manage major incidents if occurring before European working hours.

Supporting / Driving / Coordinating facility changes within their region. This will normally involve engaging with Atos for e.g. provisioning of relevant standard services but may also extend into larger projects for new building or sites where solutioning and time/budget control is necessary.

Manage IT services lifecycle

Driving continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives within our operational service delivery – reducing unit cost, ensuring scalability and improving end user experience.

Controlling and scrutiny of service and costs within each assigned area; contributing to forecast and budget process for IT Operations Management.

Participate in and/or drive contract lifecycle processes including market assessment, service tender (RFP), vendor selection, negotiation, service integration for selected services.

Drive and/or participate in vendor audits

Ensuring effective and efficient daily operations of each assigned service area.

Support ITIL processes including Problem, Availability, Capacity, Service Continuity, Vendor Management as needed.
Align release and deployment plans to local business requirements

For selected services plan, schedule and control the movement of releases to test and live environments, ensuring that the integrity of the system is protected

For selected services perform service validation and quality assurance – ensure that deployed Releases and the resulting services meet customer expectations, and to verify that IT operations can support the new service.

Establish and manage the team of employees and 3rd parties delivering Onsite and Service Desk in APAC outside India
Support the Service Desk manager in day to day follow-up of APAC Onsite and Service Desk deliveries

In this position you need to have:
Master degree in Information Systems, or other related IT fields.

Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in networking senior management within assigned responsibility
Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in IT operations and service delivery

Extensive experience with and understanding of working in a multi-cultural environment

High-level knowledge of systems and services within assigned responsibility

Solid experience in vendor management

Project management experience

Strong knowledge or Quality Management frameworks and ITIL.

Good command of English skills in both written and spoken.

Good financial understanding in vendor management and cost control.
