| Tasks & Responsibilities |
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:A. Primary Function Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. * Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. * Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. * Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. Maintains records of resultsB. Duties and Responsibilities Communicate quality issues and quality improvements suggestions to Quality Management. * Must be highly organized. * Able to effectively communicate. * Must be able to accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. * Perform functional testing of products. * Must be proficient in the use of basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, comparators, etc. * Detailed orientated and well organized. * Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and other documented specifications.C. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Ability to interpret complex engineering drawing/specifications. * Capability to understand and follow written inspection procedures. * Good working knowledge of inspection methods. * IPC certified a plus.
|D. Experience 1 to 2 years of inspection experience in a medical device company. * Excellent oral communications skills. * Hands-on experience and quality/process driven. * Excellent computer skills in MicrosoftE. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent. * AS degree or CMI from ASQ-Certified Mechanical Inspector preferable. * Excellent Math skills. * Mechanical skills and the ability to solve problems effectively is required.F. Physical Environment/Working Conditions - e.g. assembly line, lifting requirements (up to _ lbs.) 40 Lbs.|
