Job Description

This position provides consultation to businesses on a broad range of commercial, industrial and office real estate projects.  Projects involve lease negotiation and administration, disposition and divestitures, consolidation, renovation and expansion of existing facilities, negotiation of easements and encumbrances and site selection, land planning, development and construction.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzes, evaluates and makes recommendations to business management regarding real estate solutions to achieve specific goals and objectives

  • Plans, oversees, manages, or directs activities related to site selection, due diligence (including environmental considerations), property acquisition and disposition, design and construction and management of owned and leased properties from inception to completion

  • Prepares RFP’s  and then qualifies, recommends and manages brokers and/or consultants

  • Develops and manages marketing programs related to dispositions

  • Prepares financial reports, budgets and analyses for comparison of real estate alternatives to determine optimum deal structure

  • Leads and coordinates project direction among corporate professionals in real estate, legal, environmental, business, finance and third parties

  • Negotiates and drafts various types of contracts, leases and other required legal documents

  • Assists Real Estate Senior Consultants with large, complex commercial/industrial real estate projects

Job Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required, with preferred focus in Business, Engineering, Finance, Sourcing & Logistics, or Corporate Real Estate

  • Three to five years’ experience in corporate and/or commercial/industrial real estate

  • Understands corporate and industrial real estate instruments such as appraisals, deeds, donations, easements, estoppels, leases, licenses, sales, surveys and title commitments

  • Excellent analytic, planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to successfully multi-task numerous projects and tasks

  • Proficient at reading, redlining,  interpreting and composing legal documents and contracts

  • Ability to read and interpret property maps, surveys and blueprints

  • Possesses a firm understanding of the economics and financials associated with real estate transactions

  • Effective at negotiating and influencing others

  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals

  • Routinely and efficiently handles abstract and non-routine work assignments
