Project Manager

Your tasks

The Project Manager is responsible for the performance of company programs/projects or subsystems of major programs/projects. Directs the Specifications, Development, V&V, & Manufacturing Transfer phases of programs/projects. Works together with the Product Manager to define the product definition, and then leads a large cross functional team through the development, verification/validation, and market introduction phases of the project.  Leads project review sessions focused on schedule performance, product cost performance, product performance, project scope, risks, etc.   Provides monthly updates on project status to top management and project steering committee.   Establishes project scope and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program/project from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Assignments are received in objective oriented terms.  Provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.  Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization’s objectives and schedules.
Accomplishes results through hands on work, subordinate supervisors, and exempt specialist employees.  Acts as an advisor to subordinates supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.  Directly participates in establishing and leading many centralized functional projects.  Directly responsible for project budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.  Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in critical delays and modifications to projects or operations; cause substantial expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds; and jeopardize future business activity.   Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives

Your profile

BS in Engineering (or related science field), MS preferred.  5+ years Project Management experience in Medical Device Industry (or equivalent).
