Ensure drive and timely progression in exciting research projects

As Principal Scientist you will directly impact research projects with your scientific knowledge enabling timely progression based on data-driven decisions. At the same time you will get the opportunity to influence the way the department supports the research projects through scientific input to our DMPK strategy with a clear focus on implementation and execution of the strategy. In this, you will be a key driver in ensuring knowledge sharing within the department as well as across the global organisation Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Take on a DMPK lead role in drug discovery projects
  • Deliver Pharmacokinetics, PK/PD modelling and dose-to-man prediction to research projects
  • Plan and monitor internally and externally performed PK studies
  • Give input to and drive implementation of DMPK strategy in research with emphasis on PK & PK/PD
  • Coach and guide less experienced DMPK scientists

Extensive knowledge within Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics

You have a Ph.D. backed by +10 years  of industrial experience that has provided you with extensive knowledge within Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) as well as drug discovery in general. You have expert knowledge within:

  • The drug discovery process and impact of DMPK in drug design, preferably from both small molecule project and biologics
  • PK and PK/PD modelling and translation of discovery data for delivery to pre-clinical and early clinical development
  • Transporters, Drug-Drug Interactions and their impact on drug exposure
  • PK modelling software such as Phoenix WinNonlin and GastroPlus/ Simcyp or other relevant tools
  • Drug metabolism

You will join 18 scientifically skilled colleagues based at LEO s headquarters in Ballerup Greater Copenhagen. We are responsible for in vitro and in vivo DMPK as well as bioanalysis all the way to candidate selection. We share an ambitious scientific agenda deliver innovative solutions to the benefit of patients all over the world. Our work environment is characterised by an informal and helpful atmosphere.
