Project Description

The Amgen Postdoctoral Program is committed to providing future scientists with an enriching environment to inspire innovation that will contribute to the development of human therapeutics.Dr. J Russell Lipford in the Oncology and Inflammation Research department at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of molecular cellular biology, chemical biology and protein biochemistry.This postdoctoral project will focus on the identification of the genetic determinants of sensitivity or resistance to CSN (Cop9 Signalosome) inhibition. CRISPR screening technologies will be used to unveil these factors and various biochemical and genetic techniques will be used to dissect the mechanism of action. In addition, the project will involve the development of potent and selective small-molecule CSN inhibitors through high-throughput screening and SAR with an existing scaffold.
