The primary focus of this position is to schedule the Production Work centres’ for timely fulfillment of orders to meet Customer Service. This includes the mid to long term review of volume, capacity and utilization, and supporting the Planning Department to a best in class Planning Environment.

It requires strong leadership and analytical skills, good working knowledge of SAP/APO PPDS, a high level of initiative, project management skills and good communication skills to coordinate the activities of the Planning Department.

•Support the Manager, Planning and Supply Chain in the lean transformation process, by assisting in and supporting improvements to the following tasks: ◦Generation of the monthly Production Plan using SAP/APO PP/DS
◦Performing weekly Production reviews
◦Weekly Production Progress Updates to the business
◦Generating and communicating the Shipping Plan (Ship Plan Com)
◦Generation of the production shift plan for the annual budget & the mid-year estimate.
◦Reviewing and maintaining Master data for planning and supply purposes
◦Liaise  cross functionally to ensure optimal plan and delivery for the Customer and downstream work centres
◦Liaise with Customer Service counterpart for any change in delivery

•Alignment with Materials planner to ensure component availability
•Supporting the department in maintaining and progressing a Best in Class SAP environment
•Other duties requested by management or TPC, or Takeda affiliates or partners relating to planning, production and shipping control.
•Co-operate with the responsible departments in the completion of specified projects.
•Ensure monthly reporting deadlines are achieved as agreed with relevant stakeholders.

•Participate fully in any cross functional training initiatives.
•Drive and promote the corporate values of Takeda-ism within the workplace.
•Actively foster, in cooperation with other TIL staff, an ethos and culture of safety awareness where safety is accepted as an integral part of the overall business. Ensure that Accident Reports / Near Miss Forms are completed in a timely manner after an event.
•Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
•Other duties as required and directed by the Manager or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors


  • 3rd Level Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience in a Production Planning role (at least 5 years is preferred), in a pharmaceutical environment)
  • Direct experience of Scheduling, preferably within an SAP environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Sales and Distribution (SD), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Advanced Planning and Optimisation (APO).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to demonstrate strong planning and coordinating skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access applications
