U.S. Facilities and Operations:
Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

Your responsibilities

  • Position Summary:
  • Under the direction of the Supervisor/Lead/ Production Clerk, operate and maintain Peel Tab and Assembly Machines.
  • Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Peel Tab Machine
  • Supply / load top cap and foil onto the machine
  • Set up the foil feeding and welding stations per standard work guidelines
  • Clear jams and feeding problems
  • Set-up machine by cleaning seal heads and sensors, verify caps air nozzles, and check availability of components for production
  • Pull QC samples by procedure
  • Make minor mechanical adjustments
  • Perform room and machine cleaning activities per procedures
  • Assembly Machines
  • Prepare heat sealing elements and backing rubbers, and check and replace as necessary
  • Clear jams and feeding problems
  • Mount and align film and printing foil
  • Prepare and install electrical wires for heat seal elements
  • Perform Assembly machine changeovers following relevant procedures
  • Set-up Franklin press for proper hot stamp printing
  • Prepare and replace perimeter seal blocks
  • Accurately document downtime and production related information in the downtime tracking system and batch record
  • Perform room and machine cleaning activities per procedures
  • Operate hand or power trucks and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the unit
  • Complete all paperwork on time and in a neat and legible manner using Good Documentation Practices
  • Report product, machine, material issues, and Quality Deviations to Lead Person/Production Clerk
  • Perform necessary quality checks outlined in PAB Assembly procedures
  • Perform routine visual and functional inspection / test on caps and empty bags
  • Perform run changes and line clearances per procedure
  • Maintain work area in neat and orderly condition
  • Adhere to all safety and good housekeeping regulations. Report any safety issues to the lead or supervisor
  • Assist others in the production area as necessary

  • Knowledge of basic mechanics and electricity
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, write and understand job language in English
  • Basic mechanical aptitude

Your qualifications

  • Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc
  • Required:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must pass SAT II test with a minimum score equivalent to 7 th grade English comprehension and 6 th grade Math
  • Minimum of 6 months automated manufacturing experience
  • Desired:
  • Technical skills training or courses
  • Manufacturing technician experience
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
