The operator will work in the Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing site where Parenteral products for domestic and international markets are manufactured and packaged. The primary purpose of the job is to safely prepare process equipment and formulate products for filling in accordance with good manufacturing practices and abide by the Lilly values of integrity, excellence and respect for people.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Adhere to Parenteral Plant safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing. Practices to ensure quality of product.
  • Attain and maintain qualification for the operation of assigned process equipment and duties in the area.
  • Setup and perform operation activity in both aseptic and non-aseptic processes.
  • Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation.
  • Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activity and reporting issues to supervision.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
  • Must pass a post offer physical exam.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills, with capability to learn in more detail.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
  • Experience with GMPs.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in an aseptic environment is desired
  • This is a 1st shift position, 07:00am to 03:30pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Weekend overtime is required.
  • Ability to wear building dedicated gowning and personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and off shift when required.
  • Some allergens are present in the Parenteral plant; a post offer allergy test may be required
