  • To strengthen our Neurology Team,  we are looking to fill the position of Marketing Coordinator. 


Nature & Scope 
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a professional who serves as a key field-based scientific resource for healthcare providers, patients, and internal  colleagues.  Information shared is timely, accurate, and fair-balanced.  The MSL also provides scientific support for and clinical research.
  Also provides medical and scientific training to SF, Staff and other physicians not just about the product, but also about the disease and other related areas. 


Major Accountabilities    
  1. Scientific Knowledge and Exchange     
    • Possesses in-depth knowledge of therapeutic area, including related disease states and co-morbid medical conditions 
    • Possesses in-depth knowledge of company products, competitive products, and other therapeutic options within relevant disease states 
    • Reviews and critiques scientific publications 
    • Collects, analyzes, and communicates fair-balanced information concerning therapeutic area, treatment options, emerging standards of care, and competitive intelligence 
    • Addresses medical information inquiries   
    • Provides effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailors presentations to meet specific audience needs   
    • Conducts local roundtables and education programs that aim to satisfy the specific needs of individual KOLs and Institutions 
    • Serves as a scientific resource at key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, internal meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings 
    • Serves as a scientific resource to Decision Making public and private boards in terms of new technologies and medicines incorporation analysis (scientific support to access team)     
  2. KOL Development   
    • Identifies national, regional, and local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) 
    • Establishes and develops synergistic relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities 
    • Assures thoughtful exchange of current medical information related to company products and therapeutic areas of clinical development with KOLs 
    • Provides educational and scientific support to KOLs as needed 
    • Identifies and facilitates local networking opportunities between KOLs and internal and external colleagues 
    • Explores novel educational opportunities with healthcare associations and ancillary healthcare professionals 
    • PIL’s (physician influence leader, patients influence leader, prescriber influence leader)     
  3. Territory Management   
    • Understands the impact of company strategies upon day to day activities 
    • Generates thoughtful and appropriate Medical Affairs plans to maximize collaborative opportunities and to provide superior service for every KOL and institution 
    • Communicates and coordinates scientific opportunities with other company field based and internal colleagues 
    • Evaluates each KOL individually to assure appropriate level of support 
    • Effectively  collect and report important KOL insights     
  4. Research   
    • Informs and provide follow up with the Medical Manager and Medical Director about unsolicited Investigator-Initiated Studies (IISs) 
    • Assists in the identification of potential sites for company-sponsored clinical research programs     
  5. Internal Functional Group/Commercialization Support   
    1. Sales   
      • Participates in scientific and medical training of Sales colleagues 
      • Responds to complex scientific inquiries from the field (approved and non-approved indications-officially solicited) 
      • Participates in Speaker Training Meetings     
      • Marketing   
      • Provides scientific and medical support for internal and external meetings and projects as needed     
      • Medical Information   
      • Provides field updates regarding topics of interest for creation and/or updating of Standard Response Letters         
  6. Team Development   
    • Actively participates in team calls and meetings 
    • Solicits and shares best practices to enhance team productivity 
    • Participate in the continuous process to develop other MSL’s skills and in the new hires MSL’s training programs     
  7. Administrative Duties   
    • Utilizes company Resources effectively (such as travel planning and expense reporting) 
    • Checks and responds to voicemail and email messages in a timely manner 
    • Submits and maintains reports on a timely basis     
  8. Compliance and Pharmacovigilance   
    • Complies at all times with company SOPs, compliance policies, and internal and external guidelines 
    • Serves as a resource to ensure that Adverse Events (AEs) are reported in accordance with our pharmacovigilance SOPs 
    • Ensures that questions related to AEs and safety are accurately addressed both internally and externally     

Bachelor's Degree          
  • Nursing 
  • Pharmacy and Biochemistry Biology 
  • Biomedicine       

  • Relevant therapeutic and clinical experience preferred 
  • Research & development experience as a CRA or clinical monitor  

Specific skills  
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Portuguese and English)  
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts in 1:1 and group settings  
  • Ability to actively listen and process information to identify opportunities  
  • Business acumen with a basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare arena  
  • Ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment  
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills  
  • Ability to effectively balance field time and administrative duties 
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, and web-based applications (PPT, Excel, Word)
