The Marketing Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, planning and execution of Direct to Consumer (DTC) and HCP multichannel marketing (MCM) campaigns for Amgen s eight marketed Oncology products in the US. This position reports to the VP of Oncology marketing and is part of the OBU Marketing Leadership Team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a team of at least 8 DTC/MCM marketers. The Marketing Director will be responsible for partnering with all Oncology brand teams to drive development and execution of strategically aligned DTC/MCM programs. Additional responsibility for this role includes identifying and leading the implementation of various DTC/MCM innovation opportunities aimed at developing best in class capabilities. In addition to leading the MCM/DTC team, developing effective partnerships with BAI, analytics, access &reimbursement teams as well as managing relationships with multiple creative agencies and vendors will be critical to success. The Marketing Director will have ultimate responsibility for delivering and enhancing ROI-based revenue targets on the Oncology business DTC/MCM investment. DTC leadership responsibilities include managing the integrated TV and non-TV consumer campaign for Neulasta to drive effective patient education. The Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the overall Neulasta patient communication strategy, including the development of competitive response plans to effectively compete with potential future competition. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading all patient marketing initiatives on six other oncology brands with active patient marketing campaigns. This includes preparing for and launching patient campaigns supporting potential future label extensions. The successful candidate will also lead the extensive HCP MCM campaigns in the OBU which have strong historically proven ROIs. Leadership responsibilities include coaching the team in developing strategies and tactics aligned with each brands annual strategic plans. Driving innovation initiatives, developing campaigns that integrate field and MCM execution and continuously enhancing effectiveness of MCM communications will be additional important responsibilities.Responsibilities Include:Lead a team of 8 marketers to develop and execute strategic and tactical DTC/MCM plans for all Oncology brands marketed in the USBe responsible for recruitment, coaching and development of direct reports to ensure a strong marketing talent in the OBULead TV and digital video strategy for Neulasta along with an integrated non-TV DTC campaign to drive effective patient educationProvide leadership to marketers responsible for managing various DTC campaigns on six additional Oncology brandsIdentify innovation and optimization opportunities for the DTC TV and non-TV campaigns campaigns to establish Amgen as the industry leader in Oncology patient marketingLead the Oncology HCP MCM team to develop strategically aligned plans and tactics and drive effective execution of brand communicationsPartner with brand leadership teams to align DTC/MCM campaigns to strategic imperativesPartner with cross-functional teams including CCOE, BAI and analytics to identify and introduce industry leading DTC/MCM approaches into the OBULead the OBU agency strategy for ensuring identification and management of best-in-class DTC/MCM agency partnersDrive innovation in multichannel strategy including initiatives like integrated marketing, predictive analytics and best-in-class digital, web and social platformsMonitor DTC and MCM industry trends to identify and capture best practices into the OBUBe responsible for delivering on revenue and ROI objectives on the DTC/MCM investmentBasic Qualifications " Doctorate degree and 4 years of Marketing experience " Master s degree and 7 years of Marketing experience " Bachelor s degree and 9 years of Marketing experiencePreferred Qualifications: MBA 8+ years of pharmaceutical marketing/advertising, experience in healthcare space with knowledge of consumer, TV, digital and HCP marketing.
